ABC Community Garden is more than just a garden—it’s a shared space where individuals come together to grow food, foster resilience, and build a stronger, more connected community. Our garden promotes wellbeing, sustainability, and creativity, offering opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn, teach, model, research, and discover sustainable, productive, and creative ways of living.
Located in Stonnington, we welcome all residents, especially those with limited space for gardening at home. The entire garden is managed communally, with members gathering monthly to make decisions, plan projects, and work together. Members have unlimited access to the garden and harvest collectively, sharing fresh produce among themselves and the community.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting, there’s a place for you in our thriving green space.

Upcoming Events
Members meet each month to make decisions regarding the garden and participate in a group working bee.
From time to time we also host free educational events for our members and the local community. From hands-on gardening workshops to expert-led talks on sustainability, our events are designed to inspire and empower.

Anyone in the community is welcome! Whether you're a gardening pro or just starting, we’d love to have you.
Our garden operates as a shared space, so we grow together rather than assigning individual plots.
We have a Monthly Meeting and Working Bee and plus other ad hoc events. Members can also visit anytime to tend to the garden. If you're just learning, you can meet up with any of the regular members during their on grounds times.
Once you become a member, you can attend our monthly working bees, attend our events, or help with weekly watering or garden maintenance.
Not at all! We welcome beginners and experienced gardeners alike.
We rely on grants, community support, membership fees and occasional fundraising efforts to keep the garden thriving.
Memberships are renewed annually and is $45 per member or $70 for a couple.
